About the event
We are proud to bring the inaugural Vietnam Era Veteran Welcome Home and Pinning Ceremony to Rifle—a special event dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifices of those who served during the Vietnam War era. Many of these veterans never received the recognition they deserved when they returned home, and this ceremony is an opportunity for the community to come together and show our gratitude.
The Vietnam War Commemoration is a national initiative to recognize and thank Vietnam veterans and their families for their service to our nation. The Vietnam War era, spanning from November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, was a difficult time in American history. Many who served came home to a country that did not fully appreciate their sacrifices, making reintegration into civilian life even more challenging. This commemoration ensures that these veterans finally receive the honor and respect they should have received long ago.
